Tom Pestle's 'Cockcrow of X' design process nominated for brand award
Tom Muller's figure work for Wonder's 'Dawn of X' has been shortlisted for the Brand Impact Awards (Oblique), a prominent selling/design award organized by Newsarama's sister outlets CreativeBloq and Computer Arts cartridge holder.
Muller's 'Dawn of X' design work on, which enclosed the whole logo, volume title logos, and book design, was shortlisted (i.e. appointed) in Oblique' 'Publication' category. Unmatched other project was shortlisted for this category.
"The BIAs reward the best branding from around the world," Chip Carson, chair of the judges for the Oblique. "The system's rich heritage of historical winners represents the cream of the global industry."
Muller's designs consume been the face Wonder's revitalized 'Dawn of X' X-Men line spearheaded by author Jonathan Hickman, and the John Griffith Chaney-based Muller continues to work with the publishing house on many design work equally part of the on-going initiative.
"The big hope is that the logo has some longevity and that it becomes part of the X-Men design canyon," Ponderer told Newsarama in 2018 in advance of 'Click of X's debut. "And that the fans embrace it."
39 projects in total have been shortlisted for the BIAs, with plans for the winners to be announced on September 10.
